Examination and pattern of NICL Job Vacancies 2024 :
Part A – Applicable for all applicants other than for Hindi Officers. The written exam will be conducted in two phases
- Phase – I: Preliminary Examination online
- Phase – II: Main Examination online
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (applicable for all disciplines except for Hindi Officers) Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 100 marks will be conducted online (applicable for all disciplines except Hindi Officers). This test would be of 60 minutes duration consisting of 3 sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Candidates have to qualify in each test/section by securing passing marks to be decided by the Company. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Company (approximately 15 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Phase- II: Main Examination online (applicable for all disciplines except for Hindi Officers) Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 250 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 Marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.

(ii) Descriptive Test: The descriptive Exam Test of 30 Minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Essay – 10 Marks, Précis – 10 & Comprehension – 10 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode.
- Candidates will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section separately of objective test for short listing for the Descriptive Test evaluation i.e., the descriptive answer script would be evaluated only in respect of those candidates who qualify the objective test. Depending on the number of vacancies, cut offs will be decided for Descriptive Papers evaluation i.e. there will also be a separate cut-off marks for the Descriptive Test.
- The Descriptive test will be qualifying in nature and the marks scored in the Descriptive test will not be counted towards short listing for interview or final selection.
- Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score (to be decided by the Company according to number of vacancies) in the objective test (Main Examination) and qualify in the descriptive test for short listing for the Interview.
Educational Qualification for National Insurance company Limited Recruitment 2024
As Per the Notification of National Insurance company Limited Recruitment 2024 , the Candidate should possess certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination as on 01.12.2023.
The minimum Educational Qualifications required for various disciplines are:
1. Doctors– (MBBS)
M.B.B.S / M.D. / M.S. or PG – Medical Degree from a recognized University OR equivalent foreign degrees which are recognized as such by the National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) with the prescribed benchmark. Furthermore, the candidate must be holding a valid registration from National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) or any State Medical Council (as applicable for Allopathy) as on date of the scheduled interview.
2. Legal
Graduate / Post Graduate in Law from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
3. Finance
Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) OR B.COM / M.COM from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
4. Actuarial
Bachelor / Masters degree in Statistics / Mathematics / Actuarial Science or any other quantitative discipline from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
5. Information Technology
B.E / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology/ MCA from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
6. Automobile Engineering
B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech in Automobile Engineering from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
7. Generalist Officers
Graduate / Post Graduate in any stream from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
8. Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers
Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks) OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks) .
